Practical Information – Getting to Marseille Chanot

By Train

Marseille Saint-Charles Station is located in the city center (~3 hrs from Paris, 1h40 from Lyon by high-speed TGV).

From the station:

  • Take Metro Line 2, direction Sainte-Marguerite Dromel, and get off at Rond-Point du Prado.
  • Marseille Chanot is right next to the metro exit.

By Car

GPS address: Palais des Congrès et des Expositions Marseille Chanot, Rond-Point du Prado, 13008 Marseille.

 

Easily accessible via:

  • A7 (from Lyon/Paris),
  • A50 (from Toulon/Nice),
  • A55 (from Montpellier).

Parking: 1,800 spaces available directly on-site.

By Plane

Marseille Provence Airport (MRS), located 27 km from the city.

From the airport:

  • Shuttle bus to Saint-Charles Station every 10–15 minutes (approx. 30–50 min ride).
  • Then Metro Line 2 → Rond-Point du Prado.
  • Taxi or ride-hailing services: ~€70–100 depending on the time and traffic.

By Bike

Marseille is connected to the EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route and has a growing bike lane network.

Bike racks are available near Chanot.

If arriving by train:

  • Folded bikes in a bag (max. 120x90 cm): free of charge.
  • Non-folded bikes: require a reservation in some TGV INOUI trains (€10 per bike).

By Foot

  • From Vieux-Port (Old Port): take Metro Line 1 to Castellane, then Line 2 to Rond-Point du Prado (approx. 15–20 min total).
  • From Saint-Charles Station: direct Metro Line 2 to Rond-Point du Prado (10–15 min).
  • If you're already nearby (e.g. Castellane, Prado): 15–25 minutes walk.
